"A Fair Challenge on Ancient Land"

Few places can rival the spectacular setting of Bull Bay Golf Club, an 18 hole course regarded as one of the best in North Wales and the host of a number of championships most recently the Welsh Boys and Girls Championship 2017.

Laid out on natural golfing terrain above the rugged coastline on the beautiful holiday island of Anglesey, this Herbert Fowler designed course is a great place for a memorable game of golf. There are panoramic sea and mountain views from the course and from the welcoming Clubhouse.

Whether you want a golf break, to play in one of our many open competitions or just a casual game, we offer you a very warm welcome, an experience to remember and excellent value for money.

Thanks to the mild climate, the course is open throughout the year and is easily accessible by car and, from Ireland, by ferry. So, why not visit “nature’s gift to golfers”?

Once played you are certain to return. However, don’t take our word for it, see what our guests have to say:

What our guests say about us

Roger Chapman (PGA Senior champion 2012)

Dear All, Had a great time playing your course today (14th Sept 2013). Great weather and course in great condition. P.S. Shoot the crows!

Ronan Rafferty (European No. 1 1989, Ryder Cup Player, TV Pundit)

As always a pleasure to play, the club could not be more welcoming. Beautiful when the sun shines! Best wishes to you all.

I played here on 2 consecutive days last week, July 24/ 25, and just have to say this is one of the finest & friendliest golf clubs/ courses I’ve ever played. The course is superbly laid out in the hillside landscape, utilizing the natural geological & botanical hazards to perfection. It is a very fair course to play, although punishing anything very wayward, and it will stretch your legs and exercise your lungs without exhausting you. I’m sure it’s a much sterner test when the wind blows, like any course on the coast, but anyone would still appreciate why Bull Bay has such a great reputation.

Played here for the first time on 14/7/18. Found the professional very accommodating but the bar shut until midday, so had to resort to coffee!!! Course dry and running with quite slow greens which was not a bad thing as it was windy, though our group did struggle on them a bit when they finally made it! A good variety of holes and the customary few blind tee shots made for an interesting day. Definitely will be going back

Great course we were blessed with zero winds so made it a lot easier. Still tough playing it the 1st time as it’s always tough to work out where the best place to hit your ball with all the hills and mounds. Will know a bit more next time we play. We played after 4 so payed £15 each which is an absolute golfing bargain.

Dear Mr Captain

“I had the pleasure of playing the course today and I would like you to pass on a message to your green-staff. The course was in beautiful condition. I liked the feature of exposed rock face to the left of the second green, very nice. In fact it is the best I have seen it ever and I have been playing it since the early eighties. Well done, it is a credit to the club.”

Kind Regards

Anglesey`s hidden gem. One of the toughest courses I`ve played in all of Wales, especially when the wind blows! A must play.
